We are Headed to the World’d Most Famous Daytona Beach. Finally!! Sitting home on the computer and the phone answering questions and giving reccomendations as a Short Term Rental host helping everyone else have fun makes us a little envious. Like mentioned in our other blog posts so far, we love doing it and really enjoy it. But we absolutely love it and miss it. I truly believe because we love it here in Daytona Beach so much, it makes us better at being hosts.
We also started managing other owners places to help them with renting their places out. Andrea and I get talking with other owners about what we do and how much fun we have and we noticed many people asking about renting theirs out. Just like all of us, the first thing of concern is always about having other people in their space. That was also our concern as well at first.
We knew we had to rent ours out in order to be able to afford a vacation place. So we were kinda forced to trust in the process. Come to find out, people are so respectful and kind we forgot about these concerns fast.
Andrea and I are extremely lucky to be able to travel to Daytona Beach as often as we do. I would say half the trips there we find ourselves working on them and making small adjustments based on our guests feed back and neat ideas they offer. The other half of the time we are 100% vacationing like our guests. Andrea heads directly to the pool and will spend all day on that pool deck reading her books chasing the sun. I can’t stay in the sun like she can.
I am in the shade under the umbrella chatting with other owners and guests that are staying there. We find ourselves with our YETI cups in the pool talking damn near all day. Then of course I always end up wondering out the beach access gate from the pool and go stand in the ocean. There is something about just standing there watching the cars drive by, watching people having so much fun and listening to the waves crash all day long.
